Built in 1899 out of white Carrara marble, this is where the present King of Thailand, King Bhumibol, spent time as a monk before his coronation. As well as being a beautiful temple it is an active Buddhist Monastery. Taken by Thanate

Thai architecture just blows the mind with its clean lines and subtle colours. Great picture. Thanks for this and all the other great pictures.
Have been to this temple and it is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I took a whole roll of film (pre-digital) photos here the day I visited
What a magical building. It is like something out of a fairy tale!
